21st Birthday Nostalgia

On the 9th August 1990 I was born in St Albans hospital... 21 years later I am looking back at all the baby photos taken on the day I was brought home from the Hospital.

Having lived a very spoiled and beautiful life, living in the same fabulous house for the past 20 years I feel very lucky and very nostalgic for my childhood. When asked what I wanted for my 21st I replied, to go with all the family to Disneyland Florida (come September this wish shall be granted). I am still a child at heart and feel sad that with only a year to go of Uni left, my carefree days are numbered.

Whilst I remain sad about leaving my childhood days behind I also realise that no money or mid life crises would make me go through puberty all over again (there are some upsides of being older and thus, debatably, wiser) but for now, here are a few reminders of those days where my whole life (literally) was ahead of me!

My Chair

Childhood memories and the items that go with them are objects we all hold dear. The little rocking chair my Granddad made me is an item I will never get rid of along with all the other teddies, nic naks and objects that to others may seem like junk but to me hold my fondest memories.

Photographs are a way that we keep these items alive, even after possibly loosing or giving them away and a lot of the time people will document them before doing so. So with this series shown below, in a simple and intimate space I decided to document each item alongside the chair that I hold so dear. I hope you like them and feel inspired to look over some of your most cherished items to. It always brings back good stories to tell!
